Founded 1911 (chartered as De La Salle College on 16 June 1911 by 9 De La Salle Brothers from France and Belgium responding to Archbishop Jeremiah Harty's 1907 request for a Catholic teaching school for boys; granted university status 1975 as De La Salle University). Premier Lasallian research university in the Philippines, located at the Taft Avenue campus in Malate, Manila. Founded 16 June 1911 as De La Salle College by 9 De La Salle Brothers (Brothers of the Christian Schools) from France and Belgium, responding to Archbishop Jeremiah Harty's 1907 request for a Catholic teaching institution for boys. Granted university status as De La Salle University in 1975. Part of the De La Salle Philippines (DLSP) network of Lasallian schools. Schools: Business (Ramon V. del Rosario College of Business — RVRCOB), College of Computer Studies (CCS), Education, Engineering (Gokongwei College of Engineering — GCOE), Law (DLSU Law), Liberal Arts (CLA), Science (COS), the School of Economics, and the Br.
