Founded in 1784 by Royal Charter of King George III as the surgeons' guild for Ireland (separating surgical training from the previously dominant barber-surgeon traditions), the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland is one of the oldest specialist medical institutions in the British Isles. Approximately 3,500 students with one of the highest international student percentages of any university worldwide (~60% international). Distinguished as Ireland's specialist medical and surgical institution — RCSI MD degree is recognised by ~60 international medical councils, making graduates qualified to practice in many countries. Campus in central Dublin on St Stephen's Green; international campuses in Bahrain, Malaysia, and elsewhere. Despite the 'Royal' historical title, RCSI is a not-for-profit private institution operating with university status.

We list institutions whose accreditation we have verified against a recognized national or international accrediting body. Listing does not vouch for any specific program's recognition by destination-country regulators, individual admissions outcomes, or post-graduation credential transferability.
When you click through to a university's website, you are interacting with that institution's admissions process under their terms. Our responsibility ends at pointing you to a verified-accreditation institution.
