Ethiopia's leading specialised public university for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, located in Adama (formerly Nazareth) in Oromia Region — approximately 90 km southeast of Addis Ababa. Founded 1993 as Nazareth Technical College, reorganised as Adama University in 2005, and renamed Adama Science and Technology University in 2014 with a refocused STEM mission. Faculties cover engineering (chemical, civil, electrical, mechanical, mining), computer science, applied sciences, and architecture. A branch operates in Asella.
