Public regional university located in Jendouba (northwestern Tunisia, near the Algerian border). Chartered 2003 to provide higher-education access to northwestern Tunisia and regional balance to the coastal-concentrated university system. Faculties: letters arts and humanities, juridical economic and management sciences, plus the École Supérieure d'Agriculture de Kef and École Supérieure des Ingénieurs de l'Équipement Rural de Medjez El Bab.
