Founded in 1930 in Tiraspol, Tiraspol State University is a Moldovan public university with a distinctive honest history: after the 1992 Transnistria conflict, the Moldovan-administered Tiraspol State University RELOCATED TO CHIȘINĂU and has operated there ever since — physically separated from the city whose name it still bears, which lies in the de facto unrecognised Transnistria territory.
